What Happened to the Official InputMapper Website?

The original inputmapper.com is gone — its domain now serves an unrelated gambling site. Here is what happened, and where to get the software safely.

What We Found (Checked 2026-10-23)

The original InputMapper website was inputmapper.com, operated by DSDCS, the developers of InputMapper. That site is gone. As of our check on October 23, 2026, the domain serves an unrelated Vietnamese gambling site (“789Club”), and archived snapshots show the domain had already changed hands by the first half of 2025. The Wayback Machine’s 2023 records show the original site already redirecting away; the last real version of the official site dates from around 2020.

In plain terms: there is no official InputMapper website anymore, and there is no official download channel. Any page that tells you to “download InputMapper from the official website” is recycling an old tutorial. Following it leads to a gambling site, not to the software.

Why the Site Disappeared

InputMapper itself reached its final build — version 1.7.7452.13622 — in May 2020 and was never updated again. It was closed-source freeware supported by donations. A sequel, InputMapper 2, was announced and reached beta testing (there was a beta subdomain), but it was never formally released. With development over, the project’s website eventually lapsed and the domain was picked up by an unrelated operator.

Where to Get InputMapper Safely Now

  • The file itself: surviving public software archives. Our download page links to the FileHorse archive listing as the primary source, and shows the installer’s SHA-256 and MD5 checksums — both verified by us through a direct download on 2026-10-23, with the MD5 cross-checked against two independent archive listings.
  • The driver it needs: ViGEmBus 1.22.0 comes from the official nefarius GitHub releases — and only from there. Note that the old vigem.org domain was also handed over (in that case, transferred as part of the ViGEm project’s retirement), so driver links pointing there should not be trusted either.
  • Help and documentation: that is what this site is for — setup guides, troubleshooting, and honest comparisons, written for the software as it exists today.

Is This Site the New Official Site?

No. InputMapper.pro is an independent, fan-made archive and documentation project. We have no connection to DSDCS, we cannot provide official support, and we do not claim to speak for the developers. What we can do is keep the final build findable, keep its checksums verifiable, and tell you plainly when a modern alternative — DS4Windows, Steam Input, or reWASD — is the better tool for your controller. See the alternatives hub for those routes.
