Our Mission

Preserving Independent Gaming Tools

InputMapper.pro is an independent documentation and archive project for InputMapper, the discontinued DS4-to-XInput mapping tool by DSDCS. Its goal is simple: keep the final build findable, its checksums verifiable, and its setup and troubleshooting knowledge documented in one place.

⚠️ Essential Legal Transparency InputMapper.pro is an entirely independent, community-driven resource website. We are not affiliated, associated, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with the original creators of InputMapper or any of their legal subsidiaries. All product names, logos, and registered trademarks belong to their respective owners.

The Catalyst

Why This Archive Exists

The original InputMapper website no longer operates — its domain now serves unrelated content — and most download portals list the file with no way to check that it is the genuine 2020 build.

This site takes the opposite approach: download links point to surviving public archives and official driver releases, every headline file carries a checksum we computed from the file itself, and legacy claims that cannot be verified are labeled as such or removed.

Our Archival Standards

✓

Verified Facts Only: Version numbers, hashes, and compatibility statements are published only when they can be checked against a primary source — an archive listing, a GitHub release, or the file itself.

✓

Driver Dependency Security: We explicitly document required companion drivers (like ViGEmBus) so users avoid installation initialization failures.

✓

Cryptographic Hashes: The checksums on our download page were computed from the actual distributed files (verified 2026-10-23), so you can confirm your copy matches byte-for-byte.

Ethical Archiving

Supporting Freeware & Open-Source Ecosystems

We strictly adhere to the original distribution guidelines of freeware tools while championing the open-source alternatives that keep the PC gaming community alive.

Respecting Original Code

InputMapper was released by DSDCS as closed-source freeware, supported by donations. We do not repackage, crack, or modify the installer: download links go to public archives and official driver releases, and our own mirror is labeled as a mirror.

Promoting Active Alternatives

Because legacy programs face driver-level tracking drops on modern operating systems like modern Windows 11 updates, our documentation actively introduces users to active community replacements like DS4Windows or native platform environments.

Community Funding & Ads

This site is supported by affiliate links to controller hardware and accessories. They are marked as sponsored, they never gate a download, and they are explained on our Affiliate Disclosure page.

Have Feedback or Questions?

We want our documentation to stay as accurate as possible. If you spot a driver link variation error, configuration problem, or missing hardware requirement parameter, let us know via the contact page.
